well i wouldnt have one its ment to be a personnel thing and what you spend on a wedding planner you could put towards the wedding

i’m an events co-orinator at a hotel and i plan all the weddings here. to be honest the majority of hotels and wedding venues now have this, so really all the wedding planner has to do is the outside stuff (flowers, cake, cars etc etc) and i think most people like to do this themselves. Ive planned over 200 weddings in 2 years and ive only had one couple use a wedding planner for the external stuff.

isn’t all the fun in the planning? why would you want someone else to do it for you? i would definitely not hire a wedding planner. (im irish, not in UK)

i was also going to start my wedding planner business.as a way of testing the water i put my number in the yellow pages, which was free, just to see how many calls i would recieve.within the space of 6 months i got 4 calls from people looking for a wedding planner.which i thought was not bad considering i had done no advertising what so ever.i am now looking into printing some price guides and seeing what kind of response that gets me, if i get alot of interest i will then begin to build up my business properly. do somemarket research first, see what the demand is like in your area but i know that more and more people are using wedding planners all the time as the pressure to have that perfect day gets bigger every month.
